The trust perform the following benefits to the Waiheke Community :
- Provision of traps and bait for eradicating pests on the island.
- Liaise with other environmental organisations on the island.
- Owning and training a stoat dog – Tāne.
- Provide up to date information, advice and education on pest management.
- Help Waiheke achieve “Pest Free by 2050”.
Over the last four financial years, to March 2017, we have purchased over $32,000 worth of rat bait and traps, for use on the island.
