We know how important it is to socalise a new puppy so here are some photos..

He has also met the ducks, pigs, sheep, goats at Chapel Hill; and hangs out with different trustee’s dogs.
What a fun and adventurous life – being a puppy on Waiheke!

Thank you so much for your amazing name suggestions, both on Facebook and from elsewhere. There were some great names, but when we tried them out, some just didn’t work for this particular fella.
So, after a few days as a ‘working title’ the winner is…. Tāne. We love the strength of the name, and the association with protecting forests and birds. It’s easy to say, nice and short and also distinctive.
He is responding to ‘Tāne’ already – thank goodness he is no longer ‘puppy’!

We are thrilled to announce that our new pest control dog has arrived on Waiheke! He is a Boarder Terrier/ Foxy cross, which is a great combination for a stoat dog. He comes from Blenheim and several of his relatives are working pest control dogs around NZ. Here he is, resting after his long journey.
Welcome to Waiheke!

We are pleased to announce we have added some new and interesting pages.
Check out our rat baiting information – including what to do in an emergency.
On a lighter note, we’ve added our history page so you know where we come from, and put in more information about us.
